What Jairus And David Learned
If we truly want to walk with God and see God’s breathtaking blessings in our lives, we must learn to wait for God’s report. God’s report usually comes much later, but we must be able to see it with the eye of faith, appropriate and embrace it by faith before the physical manifestation.
We must stop distressing ourseves with situations beyond our control. Jairus learned that Jesus holds the key to everything in life, even over death. He relaxed and put his faith in Jesus’ Word.
David learned that stressing himself over situations beyond his control was only draining his strength and energies. He decided that waiting upon God, hoping in Him, praising and worshipping Him was the way to go. You will NEVER find any better way than the way of David and Jairus.
I pray that this message will encourage individuals whose situations are seemingly getting out of hand due to time, circumstances, demonic interference, or due to the current coronavirus situation and its attendant problems.
Success In Life Comes By Focussing On The Things That Inspire Hope
MARK 5:35,36, AMPC: “While He was still speaking, there came some…who said [to Jairus], Your daughter has died. Why bother Teacher any further?
“OVERHEARING but IGNORING what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, DO NOT be seized with alarm & struck with fear. ONLY KEEP ON BELIEVING“
The most important thing in the life of a believer is to believe in God’s power and ability and keep on believing. You must stay focused on God and believing in His power to deliver you out of every situation. Anything – any report, dream or vision that instills fear, desperation and hopelessness – must be ignored with the contempt it deserves. Any counsel or advice that does not conform to God’s Word must equally never be accorded any attention.
I have learned with time that if you want to succeed, receive answers to prayers, inherit God’s promises or become someone people can refer to for inspiration, you must develop an independent mind and critical thinking. You must not accept just any report or criticism, however professional, from the experts, friends, relatives, siblings or even parents, that does not allign with God’s Word for you.
That is why Luke Divines never allows people to control his thinking by forcing their religious or political sycophancy on him. I follow hard after my convictions, faith in God and His Word. I shut my eyes and ears to negative reports of people and PEPO, or people influenced by PEPO (demons). I fix my eyes and ears on God’s Word and positive thoughts and ideas that fill my head and heart with hope, faith and steadfastness in God.
You will never succeed in anything you are pursuing in life if you will keep listening to negative reports that seem to suggest that your fate is sealed and there is nothing you can do. You will not get anywhere by dwelling on negative dreams that drain your energy and sup your hopes in God and thus driving you to hopelessness, desperation and despondency.
You will NEVER succeed in life by keeping company with pessimistic friends, or entertaining news that break your heart and weaken your resolve to move on in pursuit of your life’s dreams and Bible promises. You must cultivate an independent mind that believes in God and His Word in the Bible. You must entertain nothing else but whatever is in conformity, concordance and full agreement with God’s written Word and His perfect plan for your life. No more, no less. That’s the way to success.
Learn To Ignore Negative Reports
You must learn to IGNORE reports that do not agree with God’s Word or the cause you are pursuing. There will always be those who will appear to know more than you, or even God, in YOUR OWN SITUATION! Why you cannot be healed, marry, succeed in life, etc.
Well meaning but ill informed friends will appear to be helping you with a more “realistic” view of things. But in effect, they will only be serving Satan’s purpose to rob you of God’s best in life and render you useless and hopeless in the end.
According to Jesus’ words above, you are only allowed to OVERHEAR, but you are advised to IGNORE such voices. The report might be true in the natural, but if it conflicts with spiritual truth and divine position, you MUST IGNORE it.
The doctor’s report about your health might be as accurate as far as medical science is concerned. But you have to choose whether to settle for the doctor’s verdict that you have only a few days, weeks or months to live, or help you to look up to God’s healing promises and long life in Psalms 103 and Psam 91. You can choose to believe the doctor’s report about your organs or sight, or God’s Word about your condition.
Jairus Learned to Ignore Negative Reports From Friends & Relatives
Jesus was on His way to Mzee Jairus’ home to heal his daughter. Due to unavoidable delays on the way, Jesus and His team did not reach in time. In the meantime the young girl died. Then “reporters” (relatives and friends) came to meet Jairus with bad news. “The girl is dead,” they told the leader of the synagogue. “Do not bother Mwalimu any further. Accept God’s will and just move on sir. God gave, and God has taken. Don’t lose hope. Utapata mtoto mwingine.” Jairus was heartbroken and nearly gave up.
Jesus heard the SAME news Jairus heard. But Jesus received it differently. He knew something that Jairus did not know. The resurrection power was present right there. He advised the father of the dead girl to IGNORE what he was hearing. “Do not be seized with alarm and struck with fear,” Jesus cautioned Jairus. Instead, “Keep on believing”
During your waiting period, whether to get a job, spouse, healing, mending your marriage, or to complete your studies, you may hear every kind of discouragement encased as “encouragement” from friends and foes. Some will tell you it seems it is God’s will for you to remain single and serve Him best. Yet they themselves cannot attempt that. They are married and settled, speaking from their comfort zones as they put on you an impossible yoke.
Some very well meaning friends will “encourage” you that God is using your illness for His glory. So, since you’ve been praying for your healing and nothing comes forth, you should accept NO ANSWER as from God. They’ll tell you that your wealth is in heaven. That God’s answers are Yes, No, and Wait.
However, I have never found any such modes of answer in the Bible. There is nothing in the Bible like God answering your prayer with a NO. According to my Bible, God does NOT answer some prayers, but He does not answer a prayer with a NO.
Prayers that are NOT answered are prayers that were simply offered for the wrong thing or selfish reasons. The wrong thing was asked for, or the wrong petition made to God. Or the motives behind the request were sensual, carnal, worldly, selfish and inconsiderate of others and even oneself.
Unanswered prayers are prayers made out of jealousy and envy of what others possess and not what’s best for the petitioner. That is, asking God for things or, for instance, insisting on marrying certain people that are better suited for others and not for you.
Not everyone and everything everyone has is best suited for YOU! God has His own best for YOU based on your uniqueness, peculiarity, individuality and special needs. Not just anything or anyone fits you.
James 4:2-3, “You are jealous and covet [what others have] and your desires go unfulfilled; [so] you become murderers…. You burn with envy and anger and are not able to obtain [the gratification, the contentment, and the happiness that you seek], so you fight and war. You do not have, because you do not ask. [I John 3:15.]
“[Or] you do ask [God for them] and yet fail to receive, because you ask with wrong purpose and evil, selfish motives. Your intention is [when you get what you desire] to spend it in sensual pleasures.”
God is not obliged to respond to such. That’s why God cannot and will not answer some prayers. Generally, God does not answer with a NO. He simply minds His business with serious people in South Africa, Spain or Venezuela as you keep wasting your time praying and fasting, trying to twist God’s arms, as He waits for you to learn and redirect your prayers aright.
When in doubt, ask God to help you identify your real need before you spend ages armtwisting God. This is most helpful in matters pertaining to getting a marriage partner. Seek God’s mind to be sure you are pursuing the right person before you waste your months or years claiming or waiting for someone who is neither interested in you nor is God’s best for YOU. Only to break your own heart in the end when you hear she or he is wedding someone else.
The Bible states that God’s promises always have their Yes in Christ Jesus. There is nothing like WAIT or NO if you offer your prayers based on God’s promise.
2 Corinthians 1:19-20, “For the Son of God, Christ Jesus (the Messiah), Who has been preached among you by us, by myself, Silvanus, and Timothy, was not Yes and No; but in Him it is [always the divine] Yes.

“For as many as are the promises of God, they all find their Yes in Him [Christ]. For this reason we also utter the Amen (so be it) to God through Him [in His Person and by His agency] to the glory of God.
Friends will give you their own stories and examples or whoever’s story. All these might just be the Enemy’s strategy to rob you of your miracle that might just be around the corner
DAVID LEARNED TO IGNORE AND AVOID DWELLING ON DISTRESSING SITUATIONS
PSALM 42:3,5-6,9-11, “My tears have been my food day and night, while men say to me all day long, Where is your God? Why are you cast down, O my inner self? And why should you moan over me and be disquieted within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall yet praise Him, my Help and my God.
“O my God, my life is cast down upon me [and I find the burden more than I can bear]; therefore will I [earnestly] remember You from the land of the Jordan [River] and the [summits of Mount] Hermon, from the little mountain Mizar.
“I will say to God my Rock, Why have You forgotten me? Why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? As with a sword [crushing] in my bones, my enemies taunt and reproach me, while they say continually to me, Where is your God?
“Why are you cast down, O my inner self? And why should you moan over me and be disquieted within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall yet praise Him, Who is the help of my countenance, and my God.
THOSE ARE THE THINGS YOU MUST LEARN TO IGNORE. GET BACK TO GOD’S WORD. DO NOT FOLLOW EXAMPLES OR ADVICE THAT DO NOT CONFORM TO GOD’S PROMISE FOR YOU. IF YOU MUST DIE SINGLE, POOR, JOBLESS, OR SICK, LET GOD HIMSELF TELL YOU SO BY HIMSELF. BUT NOT SOME “CONCERNED” FRIEND OR BUSYBODY!
Learn To Think On Positive Things
Philippians 4:8-9, “For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].
“Practice what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and model your way of living on it, and the God of peace (of untroubled, undisturbed well-being) will be with you.“
SUCCESS IN LIFE AND LONGEVITY IN THIS WORLD IS POSSIBLE WHEN WE STOP HOLDING TO THINGS THAT WE SHOULD IGNORE AND MOVE ON. What are you hearing now which is against God’s will and plan for you? Ignore it. What are you going through now that breaks your heart and life! Ignore it. What report have you just received that does not promote your peace, mental, emotional and spiritual well being? Ignore it. What is it that oppresses, depresses and supresses you? Ignore it. God bless you
